Refund & Return Policy

At George's Vintage, we want you to be genuinely happy with every piece you pick up. Our returns policy is set out in full compliance with the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

14-Day Returns Window

You have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your parcel, for any reason, and a further 14 calendar days from the date you notify us to return the item(s) to us.

Condition of Returned Vintage Items

Because every piece we sell is a one-of-one vintage or pre-owned garment:

  • Each listing is individually graded (e.g. Very Good or Good Vintage Condition) and any pre-existing age-related wear, fading, or marks are photographed and described prior to purchase.
  • Returned items must be sent back in the exact same condition as dispatched — unworn (beyond trying on indoors), unwashed, unaltered, and free from perfume, smoke, or new marks.

How to Request a Return

  1. Email georgesvintagestore@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.
  2. We will reply within 1–2 working days with our UK return address in Oldham, Greater Manchester and return instructions.
  3. Package the item securely and send it back using a tracked postal service (such as Royal Mail Tracked). Please keep your proof of postage until your refund is confirmed.

Return Postage Costs

  • Change of Mind / Sizing: Return postage is the responsibility of the buyer.
  • Faulty or Significantly Not as Described: If we have made a mistake with measurements or missed a major flaw not shown in the photos or description, please email us with photos and we will cover your return postage in full alongside a complete refund.

Refund Processing

Once your return arrives and is inspected, we will process your refund within 3–5 working days back to your original payment method (Shopify Payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal). Depending on your bank or card issuer, funds typically appear in your account within 3–5 working days of processing.
